William Tell: the apple shooting
It took a long time but i can safely say that I am satisfied of my first cartoon on toon boom. There are many bits that I would have improved, such as the part where he raises the bow and the one where he is about shoot.
I have to thank Mr Felstead for helping me and sending me the video tutorial
Let's not forget that I had to re do all the design of the character because I screw up badly with the style of the author and I had to learn to paint in a different style without outlines.
Merry christmas to me
As you can see all the character look pretty much the same, only painted differently, except William who was drawn less cartoony (too bad I really liked him)
It was a pain considering I had to re do everything during Christmas holidays, but it definitely payed off considering I got an excellent grade!
Worst part definitely was having a stomach flu while working and throwing up every 5 minutes, but other than that, it was a great Christmas

WIZARDSS
I haven't done something for myself in a long time. I am a little rusty...this is supposed to be a self portrait, but no...I am not that cool. The only true thing about it is that I need an hair cut.

MICHAEL SOWA AAAAARGH
Just as i though the style of my pitch bible was too different from the one of Michael Sowa, so here I am, ready to re do all the things i did before. Ah what a silly sausage i am!
I tried a new style without sketching lines in it, only paint strokes: this is the one i will probably use at the end, i just need to figure out how to change all the other characters.
The pic on the left is by Michael Sowa (obviously) and the right one is by me.

Claws of concern
I really enjoy drawing animals, so i decided to do some character design for the third year animation Claws of Concern, a very cool stylish animation. I had to draw a bear, a salmon and a whale, and i really liked it.
Also i started doing backgrounds for Long way down, another funny animation of the third years.
the protagonist, the bear
The salmon, all in its majesty
The whale, saviour of the other two

Yup, that it. A skyscraper...
Life drawing second year
This is the first batch of life drawings I did the first part of the year. I hope i am improving, but i still find hard to draw right all the time. I could say I haven't found my technique yet...sometimes I really enjoy the sessions, like the one with ink (GOSH I REALLY LIKE INK AND BRUSHES) other times I struggle so hard i can't enjoy at all. So far portraits are my favorite, and i still have some issues with proportions: drawing big is quite complicated but I bet it helps big time.

11 seconds club Smooth Talk
So this was my entry for the 11 second club of November 2014
My first try with TVpaint: a bit tricky at first, still some things makes no sense, but thanks to the help of Billy Allison I managed to get it done.
Thanks mr Billy, you are an amazing teacher and guy!
Now
Fixing the parts that i acted out and didn't work was much more complicated and time consuming than actually animating the whole thing. Bly me, next time i'll just rough it out perfectly first and then do the rest.
I kind of hate animating...(just kidding) but I really enjoyed the outcome. Looking forward to do more, especially stuff for me.
Everybody have a good night!
Especially you, Mr Barry. I know you are watching.

William tell us how to cook healthily
My card project consisted in creating something using four random cards i picked up. The cards are:
I came up with the idea of William Tell us how to cook healthily, a show for kids between 15 to 21 that teaches good healthy habits, both in cooking and in exercising.
The main character William Tell is a lunatic archer that after mastering the art of shooting apples decided to teach his fellow peasants how to live an healthy life.
the show would feature various side characters that would interact with William, teaching the viewers various recipes from Europe, like the Mum, Donatella, is Italian and teaches Italian sweets while the brother, Tyrone O'Tell (secretly Robin Hood), British desserts.
Albert Gessler, the historic enemy of William Tell, is nothing but an old man that constantly asks William to leave his private property, but is ignored all the time.
The recurrent characters would be the four people in the background, every week doing a different exercise: the first one gets to eat the food William just prepared while the last one has to go through the apple shooting challenge, a recurring gag of the show, never violent, but always funny and wacky.
Mr Henry seemed to like my idea but suggested me to pick a more definite age range for the show: either for younger kids with less fat/narcoletic jokes and with absolutely no violence or for older kids with less interest for the cookery and more on the gags. Tough choice i presume.
I am a little concerned about my drawing style thou, i am supposed to draw like Michael Sowa but i hardly have the skills to paint like him. I tried basing all the side characters on painting he did and using the same color palette and backgrounds but according to the teacher it is not enough. Luckily, he liked the idea and characters so he said that i only have to put more work in the future animation test.

Here you can see some expressions and the turn around
